The Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities is a learned society of eminent scientists with international reputation. The Academy can look back on over 100 years of history. So far, it counts 28 Nobel Prize winners, four Balzan Prize winners, 41 recipients of the Pour le Mérite, 30 Gottfried-Wilhelm-Leibniz-Prize winners and 16 winners of the Landesforschungspreises Baden-Württemberg among its members. All members involved in the research, when discussions on current issues of our society and the promotion of young scientists. The Heidelberg Academy of Sciences is a member of the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities.
